  The Ozbourn collided with the Chandler during night training operations on Nov. 23, 1948. Most of the Ozbourn's bow was sheared off.  
 
  A false bow was installed in a drydock in Tsingtao, China for the trip home. Notice that Mount 51 has been removed. A new bow was installed at Long Beach, CA
